Tattoos Gone Wrong – Why These Images Might Surprise You

Being inked is somehow a status symbol for many, whether it is to set you apart from the rest, an expression of art, or a simple act of going against parental wishes. To a certain degree, those who are sure they want to get inked would have been thinking about it since they were young, but because parents usually disallow it, they either get one in secret as a minor or wait until they turn 18. Either way, there are several facepalm tattoos on the list that you might be interested in. Sometimes, we end up asking ourselves how these designs came to be, or how they got approved by the person asking for tattoos in the first place – but here they are.

Tell Me The Time

In this digital world, most of the things and gadgets we now use are no longer analog. So it is refreshing and even a tad nostalgic if we see something that makes us remember the not-so-distant past. In this case, however, we were forced to take a second look because the clock has two “III” in it. So, what will happen here is that you will either be late or too early for an appointment.

We are also wondering how this mistake came to be. Well, we do have to credit the artist because the overall work is impeccable, save for that obvious numerical error. Otherwise, we can recommend this as the details are pretty amazing.

Jimmy Seinfeld

The well-known stand-up comedian and producer rose to fame because of the sitcom Seinfeld which aired on NBC from 1989 to 1998. Because of this, many people adored him, and it looks like this person decided to get a tattoo of Seinfeld’s face. Look at the first name though. Why is it, Jimmy? Does Jerry Seinfeld have a twin brother?

Well, a quick research indicates that he has no twins, though he has a sister named Carolyn. Was the tattoo artist thinking of Jimmy Fallon, the talk show host? We can only guess. They do not have a degree of similarity, so perhaps not. Surely, this is one of those moments where one will regret getting inked when someone points out the mistake.

Shoes or What?

There was this trend where people, particularly women, paint their whole bodies with a clothes-like design and walk the busy streets until someone realizes they have no clothes on. This was probably inspired by that trend since the shoes were simply tattooed onto the feet. What did this mean? The person did not have the investment money to buy a pair?

Isn’t it more expensive to get inked rather than buying a pair of sneakers? There are just so many questions running through our minds right now. Also, what if this style goes out of fashion? Another tattoo session? To be fair, though, the laces look real enough and it can really fool many. Nevertheless, we’re never doing this to ourselves.

Wrongfully Convicted

There are various ways for people to express their opinions. When you are in a state or federal facility, however, that option is limited and so this man decided to get a tattoo on his two eyebrows to express that he was wrongfully convicted. Regardless of how he pleads, women will find him guilty, because sporting such a tattoo is frowned upon.

We know how girls spend hours either plucking or contouring their eyebrows because they believe it is something that reflects their soul. He might need to talk to his lawyer about it so that they could work something out. It would be advisable that he grows his eyebrows back after having the tattoo lasered off. In any case, he looks scary as hell.

Raiders or Radoers?

Knowing how to spell is a skill that all tattoo artists should have. Why? Because whatever they ink on someone’s body is permanent, and typographical errors are unacceptable. There is also the issue of their artistic skills. One reason many people visit a tattoo shop is to express their art  — or their appreciation for their favorite NFL team.

In this case, this person is clearly someone who adores the Las Vegas Raiders. The logo is horrible and the text reads “Radoers” instead of ‘Raiders’. The artist does not deserve any credit at all. In fact, the person should ask for a refund and never go back to that place again. In fact, that tattoo artist should never put a tattoo on anyone ever again.

Quality Matters

Imagine a biker with a bandana on a Harley Davidson pulling up next to you. You could hear him revving the gas and you are impressed. This man has taste. He walks over to you after alighting from his bike only for you to see this tattoo on his arm. You stop and ask yourself, why? This is definitely a lion, but what happened?

Did a fourth-grader do the tattoo? It looks like abstraction and does not really fit well with the overall style and vibe of the biker. The best he can do is explain where and how this ink got onto his arms. He was probably dragged to a tattoo shop managed by amateurs. It’s downright ugly.

Marilyn Monroe

During her heyday, Marilyn Monroe was a symbol of sensuality and men adored her. Therefore, it’s to be expected that many will want her immortalized on their skin. People remember her for what she said — she said she believes “We are all stars, but we must learn how to shine”. Whoever had this tattoo in the picture, however, does not seem to be shining at all.

Look at that horrible rendition of the famed Monroe. We are not impressed, but we do give credit to the tattoo artist for giving his best and coming up with his own interpretation of that iconic smile. The cross-eye is a deal-breaker, but if the one who got inked loved it, then who are we to judge, right?

Sounds right

Homophones are words that are spelled differently but actually sound alike. Some examples are carrot and caret, bawl and ball, and add and ad. There is a long list of these similar-sounding pairs and it is actually an interesting study. Those with time can make investments in coming up with jokes about this.

One funny, or perhaps frustrating, experience, however, is having to see the word “patients” instead of “patience”. We can only assume that the person wanted the latter, but he got the former instead. This is a complete disaster because he would need to have it covered up. Or he could just tell the story about the mix-up and give those who ask a lesson on homophones.

The Galaxy

In Men In Black, there was a reference to Orion’s Belt, which was worn by the cat in the movie and was really a huge galaxy. Now, this lady decided she wanted something similar, but instead of making investments in a necklace with precious stones, she wanted the whole galaxy tattooed on her skin.

This resulted in her skin looking like it has a bad case of blackheads — spots are scattered all over. While many want clear and milky skin, she opted to have otherwise. Well, if this is how she expresses her creativity, so be it. But then she might have to explain every now and then that she does not have any allergies. In any case, this tattoo totally breaks our hearts.

Friendly or Enemy Toad?

Those who had their childhood in the ‘90s will remember Nintendo and their games, especially the Super Mario ones, which came out early that decade. Apart from Mario and Luigi, we also loved Toad, that mushroom character. It is strange that he was named Toad, but we could roll with that one.

We are not sure if this person is a fan or saw a picture online and got intrigued enough to have it tattooed on himself. While the job appears to be alright, the person’s skin seems to have had a negative reaction to it. The doctors and insurance providers likely advised the person not to get inked anymore because there might have been some kind of allergic reaction to the chemicals used.

A Toddler’s Artwork

There’s no denying that kids have an impressive degree of imagination. They’re kids, after all. Because of that, they often dabble in activities and make use of whatever object they can find. This, of course, means that they’ll sometimes end up doodling on surfaces  such as walls. As much of a hassle, this may be, it’s still a nice way for them to develop their skills.

Perhaps they’ll even grow up to be talented artists someday. Well, maybe this particular tattoo artist was one such child. Despite all the time spent drawing on papers, walls, and everything in between, it looks like he still needs more practice. Here’s hoping his next work will be better than this.

Quite A Shakur, Indeed

The entertainment industry is undoubtedly filled with big-name figures who have developed a strong and expansive fan base. One who can take credit for this is the late rapper, Tupac Shakur. To this day, his music continues to play an influential part among fans and even music artists. With that said, it’s no surprise some people express their love for Tupac’s work by tattooing the late rapper on themselves.

Now, the act of getting a tattoo is nice, for sure, but the next concern is the quality of the work. This fan probably had quite the shocker when he saw the final result. If it weren’t for the name, no one would know the portrait to be Tupac’s.

Made You Take A Second Glance, Did It?

We’ve all heard more than a couple of expressions at this point. Well, for this particular page, one notion many of us can agree with is that some things aren’t always what they seem, or that there’s always something more than meets the eye. While first impressions are usually considered important, it isn’t always the most reliable.

Because of that, taking a second look at things can be a good investment in its own right. It always helps to be sure, after all. Now with that out of the way, it’s safe to say this fellow had that in mind when he got this tattoo. He wanted people to see him and get confused at first so that they would make another observation after. Let’s just hope they wouldn’t need a third glance to confirm what they’ve seen.

Is That A Sock?

Without a doubt, art is subjective. Each person’s degree of love for it varies. Well, the same can be said for the tattoos people get. Through the years, there have certainly been numerous works of art engraved on skin that have impressed those who have seen them. Along the way, though, there’s no doubt that there are some that do the opposite.

Perhaps one example worth looking at is this particular work. Babies are adorable, for sure, but if this was based on a baby, then it’s safe to say the artist didn’t do much of a good job emulating their likeness. Plus, is that the baby’s tongue or a sock? We’re definitely not digging the design.

Interesting Tattoo Of Your Kid

Speaking of babies, raising one is something many people dream of doing. Like many things, parenthood has its own set of challenges, but that’s not enough to keep people away from it. That’s because nothing can ever top the feeling of knowing and seeing that you’ve raised a good kid. Of course, there are many ways to show your love for your child, and this fellow opted to get a tattoo of his little tyke on his back.

By the looks of it, though, perhaps it would’ve been better if he looked for other tattoo artists before ultimately spending some credit card points on this one. If you’re a fan of sci-fi books, perhaps we can agree that this illustration bears some resemblance to Dune’s Baron Harkonnen.

You Only Live Once

It may not be an official rule, but it’s always nice to be at your most presentable. For one, you never know what will happen throughout your day. Someone might take a picture of you or snap a shot that just so happens to have you in the background. Whatever it may be, there’s no doubt we would want the image to show our good side, yes?

Well, by the looks of it, this fellow didn’t keep that in mind. With the photos taken of him, we can see that his energy tank is likely out of gas. However, his downfall is his face tattoo saying YOLO or “You Only Live Once.” Guess it’s safe to assume he learned a thing or two from this.

For The Haters?

It’s always good to be ready. Before heading out to do something, doing some research and considering different factors can go a long way in improving your experience with an upcoming activity. With that said, it’s no surprise that there are also some things to check before getting a tattoo. For one, your skin might be too sensitive.

If you still want a tattoo, do expect the applied area to be a bit red for a couple of days. This woman wanted a tattoo on her back, but it looks like some degree of damage had been done to the area. Perhaps some ice can help it heal quicker – bet it would heal even faster if the ice were applied by the haters.

Where’s The Likeness?

Like many things, art can be categorized into various genres. Sometimes, it could be based on real-world objects and people. Other times it could be a product of an artist’s imagination. For now, though, we’ll focus on the former. Through the years, we have all seen our fair share of portraits. While many artists undoubtedly deserve credit for recreating a person’s likeness with utmost precision, this one still needs some time in the practice room.

When the client gave him a picture of a lady, maybe the artist said he had her appearance ingrained in his memory and didn’t need to have a copy of the picture nearby when he began the tattoo. Indeed, actions speak louder than words, especially so in this case.

This Tattoo Has Let Me Down

While the music industry introduces new artists just about every year, there’s no denying that many big names from decades ago still garner a skyrocketing degree of love and recognition today. Of course, among these stars, one such group that continues to be influential for millions of people is the Beatles.

Like the previously-mentioned rap artist Tupac Shakur, many fans of the English band proudly wear Beatles-themed tattoos. However, a couple of these artworks can be questionable at best, like this one. While it does have the band’s name at the bottom, the people shown look nothing like the band’s members, Ringo, John, Paul, and George. Even so, there’s no denying that it’s still enough to attract some eyes.

A System Error

Before we learned things like home and student loans, there’s no doubt our parents taught us the fundamentals of walking, talking, reading, and writing. Without these, our day-to-day lives would be hard. Despite already mastering these, it’s still common to make a few missteps here and there. In this picture, this fellow wanted to have an attention-catching statement inked on his arm.

While this may be a common phrase, it’s effective nonetheless. Well, the tattoo did its job, but not in the way its wearer wanted. After seeing it, people would probably wonder – to themselves, most likely – why the word “system” is misspelled. With that said, do check that all factors are set before doing something that is permanent.

Eyes Behind His Head

We’re all familiar with the notion that we should make the most of what we have. After all, it’s through these challenges and limitations that we often find ways to be better. Now, while these two may be great principles to live by, some degree of humor can also make life all the more worth living.

Just take a look at this guy here. Instead of shaving his head bald, he left some portions of hair and had some fun with it. With the help of a tattoo artist, he now has two faces, one at the front and the other at the back. Guess you could say nothing is overlooked by his eyes – his four eyes, to be exact.

Please Don’t

Plenty of investments has been made in numerous products over the years. From clothes to shoes to tools and everything else, there are now plenty of choices to choose from. It may sound hard, but it was made even easier thanks to commercials and promotional materials. With that said, we all know a couple of slogans and catchphrases, yes?

One such popular example is Nike’s “Just do it.” It’s a fairly simple line, but it has developed quite a fan base since it was first used. This guy, in particular, even got himself a tattoo of the Nike logo and slogan on his back. It would’ve been a nice way to show his support if it weren’t for the fact the ink work looks like it was written on the spot.

A Stamp Collector, Huh?

We all have our own hobbies. After a day’s work, many of us spend time doing what we love. It could be reading a book, playing a videogame with friends, or watching a movie, among other activities. Besides these, another hobby is spending a portion of investment money collecting particular items, like figurines and cards. Some people also have a fondness for gathering postcard stamps. This man, however, seems to have a love for a different kind of stamp.

If this was a tattoo, we wonder what the artist thought while doing the work? Perhaps he thought that maybe his client could’ve just borrowed two stamps of his choice from establishments like restaurants and play parks. It would have been a much cheaper endeavor, too.

What Are Those?!

A few pages back, we talked about how many of the world’s products promote themselves as something people want to have. With that said, another item that takes credit for being quite popular would be crocs. Their most popular product is a combination between a shoe and a sandal. Say what you want about its look, but it’s comfortable to wear, for sure.

In fact, one person actually loves it so much that he decided to get a tattoo of it on his leg. It’s not a strange thing to have a picture of something – or someone – you love tattooed on yourself, but why crocs? Perhaps if it were done differently, it would’ve been much better because right now, that leg of his looks like a piece of pseudo-promotional material.

Duality In Art

A sense of humor is great, for sure. Knowing when to crack a joke can undoubtedly make someone’s day all the more bright. With that said, there are many kinds of jokes. For one, many people love a joke that has an ironic punch line. Now then, let’s get on to our ironic tale. This fellow here got a motivational line tattooed on his back. No doubt, a statement like “Refuse to sink” can move someone.

Even so, there’s still one thing that can bother anyone who sees this. Anchors take credit for keeping a ship in its place. How does it do that, though? Anchors are thrown in the ocean and sink their way to the bottom. On a brighter note, however, they’re also a symbol of hope.

This New Batman Looks Kind Of Off

The entertainment industry has spent significant portions of investment money turning novels, video games, and other mediums of entertainment into movies or TV shows. While the endeavor may be a bit of a gamble, there’s no denying it has also created more than a few iconic works along the way. One notable example is undoubtedly DC’s Batman.

Through the years, the caped crusader has had numerous iterations on the big and small screens, one of which was Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy — it is a beloved series of films, so it’s no surprise a fan ultimately got Gotham’s watchful protector tattooed onto his body. The thing is, there’s something weird about this Batman – it’s probably his physique.

A Terrible Fallout

Besides movies and TV shows, another piece of entertainment that gets a high degree of love is video games. Beginning with games as simple as Pong and Tetris, the medium has since ventured into interesting areas. One example is the role-playing series, Fallout. While there are now numerous installments to its name, Fallout’s most iconic image is arguably that of a blond man winking with his thumbs up.

As memorable as that may be, this guy had a different version of it tattooed on his arm. It’s still the same character, only a bit more flawed. Along with its unfinished coloring, it seems his left hand is much bigger than his right. Maybe there’s an in-game reason behind this.

Spider-Gosling

Of course, like music artists, it’s safe to say we all have our own set of favorite actors, too. Along with landing acting credits throughout their career, actors are also loved for their presence outside the movie set. With that said, one such star that has a large fan base is Ryan Gosling. Well-known for his performance in films such as The Notebook, Nice Guys, and Blade Runner 2049, Gosling surely has an impressive track record to his name.

One question remains: why did this fan get a tattoo of the actor’s face on top of a spider? For one, Gosling hasn’t starred in any Spider-Man installment. Maybe it’s for his lead role in the movie Drive, though his jacket had a scorpion instead of a spider. Who knows?

New Fad

You know how nature goes: the nerds get bullied for wearing braces until dental hygiene and straight teeth became the new norm. Moreover, being a tall person has its share of disadvantages as it’s easier to get hit. At least, that was the trend before actors Rene Russo and Cameron Diaz made it appealing.

And finally, anyone who wore glasses was automatically bullied until Clark Kent used them to disguise himself. You could say that this guy knows a thing or two about covering up. We just don’t understand why he felt the need to tattoo glasses on his face. We’re pretty sure that this tattoo messes up with his vision. Maybe he wears contact lenses as an investment into decent eyesight.

The Howling

There’s no doubt that we feel incredibly sad for this customer. This tattoo artist had a wide canvas, and you could say that he totally maximized it. The price to have this tattoo removed might be twice or even thrice the cost to get it done. It certainly looks like a horrified wolf, despite the fact that wolves are expected to cause horror in others, not the other way around.

Maybe if this guy slims down, this tattoo will finally showcase a menacing werewolf. In that case, you’ve got to give the artist credit for thinking about the guy’s health and making it his main priority. However, this is just wishful thinking, and the wolf’s mouth is bound to get a little bigger as the years go by.

Grammar Matters

Good grammar is essential in today’s modern world. With this in mind, we can’t help but tell this guy that it will certainly not get better. Sadly, we feel that it’s never going to get better for this guy, not with this huge and grammatically wrong tattoo on his arm. You could even say that it’s going to get worse.

We’re wondering if the guy who inked this didn’t notice the grammatical error. One could make the case that he didn’t know any better, and he might have skipped English class more often than he should have. It certainly came back to haunt him. He should practice English grammar and treat it as an investment for the future.

Rawr

You could make the case that this tattoo came straight out of a children’s book. It almost seems as if a monster is pouncing on his skin. It’s certainly terrifying and it’s best to hide behind bushes and pray that this monster is vegan. We’re giving this guy some credit and the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he has kids and this was what one of his kids drew for school.

His kid probably brought him what he drew in school. He must’ve thought that his kid made something that was worth immortalizing on his skin. But, what if he doesn’t have kids? He’ll certainly want to wear a sleeved shirt the next time he goes out on a date.

Adam & Adam

This time, it’d be difficult to put the blame on Eve. You could argue that the serpent managed to entice Adam to have this image inked on his skin. As far as we can see, this tattoo can take credit for being one of the wackiest tattoo designs we’ve seen. The design certainly looks weird, and we can only imagine how rugged those snake scales would look if we trace them with our fingers.

As a result of being one of the wackiest tattoos yet, it’s impossible to imagine that someone would willingly go out in public like this. It’s almost advertising yourself as a modern-day Judas. Moreover, it’d be impossible to get women to go out with you — no one will want to receive kisses on the cheek from you!

Text You Later

It’s an indisputable fact that most of us are addicted to our smartphones that they’re like an extra limb on our bodies. We can’t seem to leave it behind. As much as we desire and love technology, chatting, and texting, we’re not sure if we’d like to have a permanent reminder of our phones on our bodies.

It’s actually a great investment not to follow this woman’s tattoo design. Couldn’t she just post a story about the idea on social media? We certainly think that getting a tattoo of your phone is taking it too far. Despite the concept, her artist deserves to be commended because the lines are lined exceptionally. We can’t help but salute her artist!

Scare Them All Away

It’s interesting how we managed to find someone with a tattoo of a wild animal on them. You could argue that they got the tattoo so that it’d look menacing on them. However, it seems that this tattoo of a tiger was a pretty bad investment because it doesn’t look menacing at all.

You might say that a tiger will easily get scared of this tiger tattoo design. We appreciate that this person wanted an Oriental-style representation of this magnificent beast, but it’s just not cutting it for us. If it weren’t for the spots on its body, we wouldn’t have recognized it was a tiger in the first place. Again, it isn’t menacing to look at in the slightest.

Showing Love

This tattoo seems like it was an innocent gesture. Despite it being an innocent gesture, its weirdness cannot go unnoticed. This person must have wanted to express affection to their partner, but it doesn’t strike as such. What we do know just by looking at it is that he didn’t take enough time to think about inking this design on his body.

There are probably better ways to show your love and affection for your partner. This was just an overall horrible idea. We’re wondering if he did enough investment planning before he decided to permanently draw this design on his body. On the bright side, we love the words — but we find the infinity symbol a bit too much.

You Wish You Were

We’ve all met exceptional people, especially in our social lives. Most of them are simply awesome and beyond comparison. Some of these people also don’t have a clue about how amazing they are, and they wouldn’t even believe you if you told them. And then, there are people like this one.

We’re not entirely sure what this tattoo means. It might mean something to him but we certainly don’t have an idea what that is. You could say that this guy tattooed himself because of a dare. If he didn’t get it because of a dare, then it’s certainly a good example of bad investment planning on his part. This tattoo design certainly does not impress us at all.

Die Hard Poet

When getting a tattoo, you’re allowed to go as shallow or as deep as you want. You may even opt to get a weird tattoo design, and you can go as dirty as you want with your design. However, if you want to showcase your creative side, it’s essential that you rethink your decision, especially if the design affects your skin in the process.

This person must’ve tried his luck and decided to immortalize this on his skin. Unfortunately, his design didn’t come out as appealing as he intended. However, we need to credit him for channeling his writing skills into a tattoo design. We’re hoping that this guy goes for a different tattoo design next time.

The Vigilant One

One of the things that scare us is an intimidating stare, and this one will certainly intimidate anyone to a certain extent. We’re wondering what this guy was thinking when he thought about getting this tattoo design. You could say that you’ll always need to be on your toes around this guy because he’s got an eye on you at all times, no matter where he’s looking.

He definitely deserves credit for getting one of the most odd-looking tattoo designs we’ve seen so far. We’re just not certain why he decided to tattoo this scary image on his skin. You could say that this guy could’ve done better than this. This design will not impress anyone at all.

Failed Artist

There’s a good chance that you’ve seen a good number of adorable photographs of some people. In such cases, you could say that they managed to capture their best side. However, in this case, we would say that this image failed to capture the best side of someone. You could even argue that this person’s tattoo artist isn’t an artist.

This design is probably the first photo he’s tried to ink on someone. In that case, we’d give him some credit for his bravery, but we suggest that he stick to words. We’re hoping that this person didn’t challenge the “artist” to a fistfight afterward. Without a doubt, the person in the tattoo doesn’t even look close like the one in the photograph.

Pray

Instead of getting a bad tattoo, you could make the case that this woman should’ve just kneeled and prayed. Without a doubt, this tattoo design is one of the most unflattering designs we’ve seen, to say the least. Even Mary Magdalene would pray for divine intervention the next time this woman develops another idea or design for a tattoo.

Maybe this girl got this tattoo on a Black Friday without Jesus on her mind. Otherwise, divine intervention alone could’ve prevented her from inking such an abomination on her body. We’re certainly not feeling this tattoo at all, and we’re hoping that she re-thinks her tattoo designs in the future. We’re hoping that she manages to conceal this incredibly horrible investment!

Wrong Timing Wrong Lettering

This photo is a perfect example of pulling the perfect stunt to make things go wrong. You also need to understand that it looks like they were already doomed to failure from the get-go. Without a doubt, they deserve credit for messing this one up. It used to read “No Regrets,” but at the wrong time, the message of this tattoo got twisted.

It’s not just the incredible spelling error in the photo that amuses us. It’s also the way that the tattoo artist committed to his already slacking work. Clearly, he had no clue about what font to use when he inked this guy his “No Ragerts” tattoo. We’re just hoping that fixing this one doesn’t get too expensive.

Jesus Saves

Jesus saves, and this tattoo design definitely needs some saving. It’s so bad that he could use a little divine intervention. It certainly looks like Jesus is deep in prayer while agonizing in the Garden of Gethsemane at the same time. His crown of thorns isn’t even distinguishable and it almost looks like a crown of lettuce.

Maybe this person and his tattoo artist should have just stuck to a tattoo of a rosary bead. It’s certainly way easier than this one because all it needs is a few dots around the wrist. You could even argue that getting a rosary tattoo would have been a better investment than this. The rosary isn’t just a design, it can also help him with his daily mantra.

No Searching Stress

There’s certainly frustration present when it comes to looking for something that you’ve lost. No matter what the item is, you don’t want to go through all the stress that comes with looking for it. However, this bright young lad here thinks that he’s saved himself from the stress.

You could say that he won’t need to search for his Rayban glasses ever again. After all, he has his favorite glasses tattooed to his face. We’re not entirely sure why he chose to tattoo glasses on his face because it does not come with the functionality he needs. You could say that this tattoo design can take credit for being one of the most useless designs we’ve seen.

Chirping Dog

Most of us imagine creatures with supernatural powers when we think about fictional characters. Most of these magnificent creatures showcase a certain degree of prowess in a wide variety of things — much like centaurs, who are half-horses and half-men. We certainly know what centaurs are, but this design of a mixed-up creature certainly has us baffled.

Centaurs symbolize chaos and masculinity, and it also embodies loyalty and seasonal migration. One could argue that it’s good that these magnificent creatures are fictional because we wouldn’t know what to do with them. There’s always an option to tame them or hunt them down, but honestly, we wouldn’t want our peaceful and quiet mornings to get ruined by a gruff bark.

How Well Do You Love The Song

Most people go too far when it comes to expressing their love for a particular song. Some even go to the extent of inking the lyrics of a song on their skins. There are those people, and then there’s this one who inked the name of the song and the artist who sang it. The end result, however, is mind-numbingly horrible.

This person certainly deserves some credit for his exceptional appreciation of this iconic Bon Jovi song. However, one could argue that this design was just plain reckless. It isn’t even attractive enough to show to other people. You’ll certainly want to wear sleeves to conceal this tattoo — or better yet, get it removed as soon as possible!

The Alien Within

A few generations ago, these permanent pigments in the skin were thought to symbolize a degree of rebellion. However, in the US, one out of five people have one, and they are common among millennials. Later on, art slowly became a part of the normal culture. The art of tattooing takes a careful amount of patience and accuracy. Aside from that, there are also quite a number of different genres in this art form. The sky is literally the limit for tattoo designs.

Aside from the common shapes and figures that most people cover their skins with, there seems to be a growing number of weird tattoo ideas growing. This person’s idea was weird—a half zipped-suit with an alien inside. Interesting.

Stories in Figures

Apart from the aesthetic satisfaction a tattoo can provide, some make investments in a tattoo because they have stories to tell. Basically, they use their bodies as a canvas to tell a story. Some people want to immortalize memories that they treasure or disasters that they overcame. These symbols and figures, big or small, are more than just strokes and the shades—they encapsulate a human existence.

While others simply want to express themselves through their tattoos, the client and the artist can get lost in translation. One client wanted an intricately-detailed crab tattooed on his back. Unfortunately, the tattoo artist felt a bit lazy that day and the details were replaced with thick shades that ruined the crab’s outline.

Trolls for Life

With increased accessibility to the intricate world of the internet, the average user can get access to a huge degree of information at the tip of their fingers. But this access can be a double-edged sword. At one end is the almost unlimited access to information, the other includes the threat from hackers and ubiquitous trolls. While dissimilar in appearance to the mythical creature, both ‘trolls’ inflict significant damage to their victims. It is also worth noting that there exists a children’s show about these trolls, except they are smaller, more colorful, and have a significant volume of hair.

A middle-aged man who seems to be a fan of the show decided to get a troll tattooed on his arm with his rough patch of hair adjacent to the troll’s head.

How to Attract a Grammar Nazi

The word ‘grammar nazi’ might be misleading, but for anyone who has been to school or who has been constantly lurking on social media, it goes without saying that many have come across those people who act as if they’re judges in a spelling contest, and who take their time correcting every mundane spelling mistake. Apart from that, these people are also particular in their use of tenses, punctuation, marks, and sentence construction. These people are referred to as Grammar Nazis.

One guy decided to have his hand tattooed with the text ‘TIME FLIES WHEN YOUR HAVIN RUM’ which would obviously draw the attention of a grammar nazi. While nothing seems to be wrong with it, it’s worth noting that one does not need a college degree to be able to apply simple grammar rules.

One Person’s Grocery List

Lists are glorious. They can help you organize your work-filled day, buy ingredients for your mom’s favorite pasta, set an appointment with the dentist, or pay your monthly investments. Writing down stuff on a list prevents you from forgetting them and also reminds you what to focus on. However, in this scenario, a guy had decided to get a tattoo.

Most people go for Chinese characters or Arabic symbols because they appear complex. This guy chose the former. After the session, one of his friends found it hilarious because it literally meant “Turkey Sandwich”. The tattoo was perhaps an item in one person’s to-do list. This is a reminder that we should always be skeptical of translations of characters we know nothing about.

The Mystery of Stars

Galaxies have been the subject of man’s curiosity since the beginning of time. Despite being large clusters of stars, gas, and dust, these gigantic structures are the subject of many works of art. As people who inhabit this planet, we only have a small inkling of what is actually happening out there. From the smallest dwarf planet to the blazing sun, we are only made aware by what scientists have discovered in the past millennia.

One man, who was perhaps a fan of the mysteries of space, decided to have a galaxy tattooed on his back. Unfortunately, the finished product looked like a distorted galaxy with the face of a screaming human. It would have been more preferable to make investments in a telescope than this tattoo.

Find Me a New Tattoo Artist

History has been watching from a distance the acts of people who have pursued a degree of greatness in fields such as science, sports, and music, among others. In the long list of history books, we find inspiration and admiration for the people mentioned. In the field of music, one of the most recognized icons is Freddie Mercury. He is known for his flashy and adrenaline-pumping performances. Mercury is the lead singer for the band Queen, who took credit for hits such as Bohemian Rhapsody, Comedy to Love, and We Will Rock You, among others.

One fan displayed his love for the singer by getting Mercury’s face inked on his bicep. However, it seems that his tattoo was a bit distorted and the artist perhaps lacked a bit of talent.

Experiment Gone Wrong

Disney Channel’s Lilo and Stitch is a television series that revolves around a six-year-old girl who lost her parents and was taken in by her older sister. Because she was not good at interacting with her peers, her older sister decided to adopt what they believed was a dog but was actually an alien (Experiment 626) named Stitch. The two became close and have been together while Lilo endured her grief.

A Lilo and Stitch fan had decided to get a tattoo of Stitch on her arm. However, it is worth noting that it was not Experiment 626 that was inked. Instead of looking warm and playful, the inked Stitch looked like it could scare little fans.

Tattoos Rarely Fade

In a person’s life, a huge chunk of joy, and also misery, comes from attachments and relationships — tending to them, breaking them, and going on in their absence. However, of all these established bonds, there is perhaps no more genuine than the bond between a mother (or a father )and an infant. In the process of waiting for the infant’s birth, investments in the form of time and money were made.

In this situation, a parent was so elated by how their child grew so fast. He wanted to preserve the moment by getting a tattoo. Unfortunately, the tattoo turned out to be quite scary compared to the child’s photo. That tattoo artist should never tattoo anyone again.

Red Socks/Sox

While tattoos were considered to have a negative connotation in the past, they have become more acceptable these days. These figures and symbols back in the olden days were used for religious reasons or as rites of passage. Despite having had major setbacks, the community that revolves around this ancient art has been growing. There are also no limits as to what can be inked on one’s skin. Tattoo artists also deserve credit for elevating this unique art.

One man had the most obscure tattoo inked on his skin — a pair of red socks. Whether this is a symbol for the baseball team or an allusion to Christmas, we can never know. Maybe this represents his lucky pair of socks. It was immortalized, never to be lost again.

Turtles All the Way Up

Growing up, this person probably watched a whole lot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The cartoon series revolved around literal turtles — Raphael, Donatello, Leonardo, and Michelangelo — who trained as ninjas to defend New York City against invaders. These cartoon characters started out as comic book characters before investments were made to put them on television.

Going back to the person, it would have been understandable if he had a tattoo of one of the four characters. However, he wanted the real deal. The turtle’s shell is inked on the upper back part of his head while the limbs and the head are situated at the middle to lower half of his head. Maybe this person has a deep fascination for these sea creatures.

Reckless Tattoo

The ability to drive is one of the most important life skills to learn these days, and learning how to make a 4-wheeled vehicle move is no walk in the park, especially if it’s a stick shift. While this undertaking seems to be intimidating, it’s really no different compared to driving an automatic transmission car. As a beginner, it might appear to be difficult, but these motions, once learned, will be a breeze!

One man, who was perhaps proud of being able to drive a stick shift, had the numbers of the gearbox tattooed on the back of his wrist. Despite meaning well, the numbers were arranged incorrectly. If one follows this man’s order of shifting gears, a car loan will be inevitable.

M&Eminem

Marshall Mathers, the famous rapper who goes by the name Eminem, is often confused with M&Ms, the small chocolate bits. One person made this interesting mix and had it tattooed on his forearm. Eminem the rapper’s face was perched on one of the M&M’s characters. It looks like the rapper himself had overdosed on blue Skittles.

Apart from the confusion, Eminem is one of the most respected rappers in the music industry. For his brilliance, Eminem is ranked among the greatest and most influential artists of all time. Named by Rolling Stone magazine as the King of Hip Hop, Eminem takes credit for several hit albums such as The Slim Shady LP and The Marshall Mathers LP.

A Thing of the Past

For some of us whose imaginations are wild, the thought that dinosaurs used to roam the land we walk is interesting. These huge reptiles that filled our imaginations lived over 180 million years ago before the Earth was hit by a huge comet. But these creatures’ existence is supported by the huge bones in numerous locations around the world.

Even as adults, some of us are still infatuated with these creatures of our imaginations. This man wanted to get a tattoo to immortalize a T-Rex on his back. However, his tattoo seems to be a bit off. The dinosaur looks like a malnourished lizard with a crown. He could have pooled his money for another investment.

Perfect Imperfections

While they appear to be harmless, it is worth noting that these seemingly unimportant patches of skin need to be looked upon. Moles are a common occurrence — they are skin growth that manifests as small spots (and they usually range from dark brown to black), and are an aggregate of pigmented skin cells. The average person has over 10 moles but these spots of skin can disappear over time. Most of these growths are harmless but in some cases, they can be cancerous and will require an investment in a medical procedure.

One man made a joke out of the mole at the back of his head and put it on an image of the hand of the famous Michael Jordan. He sure is someone who embraces his imperfections!

Good Things Take Time

Apart from choosing the desired design, one also has to go through the daunting task of choosing a tattoo artist who can best immortalize the image on their skin. The first step in the hunt for the perfect tattoo artist is to ask your tattooed friends for recommendations. If their tattoo looks good, there is a big chance their artist will suit your needs. It is also worth noting that a tattoo is even more prominent once it is healed. After all, an investment in this is something that should be taken seriously.

One person who wanted a nuclear explosion tattoo failed to go through the tips above and rushed to the nearest tattoo artist. As a consequence, his tattoo looks like a brain had been put on top of a tree.

Un-gelina Jolie

Aside from Japanese characters and inspirational sayings inked on peoples’ skin, one of the most common ideas for a tattoo investment is a portrait of a favorite celebrity. One person idolized Angelina Jolie so much that getting her face tattooed was unquestionable. The task is easy, one just needs to save a photo of her from the internet, then find a good tattoo artist—which is the opposite of an easy task. The finished product, unfortunately, looks disappointing.

A lot of major features are acceptable but certain shadows are so exaggerated that the actress’ face looks distorted. The tattoo artist’s strokes seemed to have destroyed Angelina Jolie’s trademark lips. Let’s hope the client gets a discount when he decides to have the tattoo removed.

Ben Franklin on Steroids

While most of the time, a failed tattoo was the fault of the client, it goes without saying that the outcome can also be influenced by the inadequate skills of the tattoo artist. At that point, it is quite difficult to point out who to blame. But when the tattoo requested by the client is a one hundred dollar bill, then it wouldn’t take a huge degree of effort since these can be fished out instantly from one’s pockets. Unfortunately, in this situation, the tattoo artist is surely to blame. While the minor details, such as the size of the fonts and the placement of the text, are correct, the tattoo artist was mistaken on one major feature — Benjamin Franklin.

In this version, the face of Benjamin Franklin appears excessively stretched. The artist might have dozed off while shading the last parts of the tattoo.

What’s The Trend?

No one in this world, who’s in his or her proper mind, will like to be infected with COVID-19, regardless of what variant. However, this one guy right here seems to want to have it. Not the virus itself, but a tattoo that says COVID-19. He made it more interesting and fun by adding the famous logo of Batman. Just so you know, many speculate that this infamous virus came from bats. As you can see, he decided to put the tattoo on his forehead, as though he was trying to remind himself about the virus.

When it comes to tattoos, Italy can take the credit for having the most people with tattoos.  Sweden comes second by a narrow margin. The United States, on the other hand, is placed third, as 46% of its people have tattoos.

Take It to The Next Level

For those who have frail hearts, this might not be for you. As you can see, this is a scary-looking 3D tattoo of a monster wanting to get out of someone’s body. That eye somehow resembles that of Mike Warovski of Monsters University, who is a one-eyed character in the animated movie that was released in 2013.

This one tattoo alone can send shivers down our spine, what more if they were more. Anyway, if you are wondering who holds the world record for the most tattoos, well, according to the Guinness World Records, Lucky Diamond Rich from Australia held the credit since March 14, 2006. This gentleman’s whole body is covered with ink. Yup, 100 percent of his skin. He spent a thousand hours getting it done and worked with hundreds of artists in the process.

Guessing Game

First and foremost, please don’t ask us what this tattoo represents, as we cannot possibly answer the question. It somehow looks like a colorful brain and microscopic organisms. With the size of this tattoo, the artist must have spent hours creating this unknown art. We can’t help but wonder if this lady right here felt any regret after seeing the finished product.

If you’re planning to get a tattoo in the future, start saving credits – at least $150 to $450, which is the normal price range for a tattoo, according to Removery. The size and complexity of the design are some factors that will determine the price, too. When it comes to removing one’s permanent ink, Healthline suggests that laser removal costs $463, on average, while surgical removal, which is the most effective treatment, can range from $200 to $1500.
